Birth Doula Services
Compassionate physical, emotional, and spiritual support designed to help you experience a calm, empowered, and supported birth journey.
The Art of the Undisturbed Birth
In a world where birth is often treated as a medical emergency waiting to happen, I stand as a guardian of the physiological process. My role as your doula is to bridge the gap between your body’s ancient wisdom and the modern birth environment, ensuring you feel safe, centered, and physically supported from the first surge to the first breath.
The Touch of a Therapist
What sets my support apart is the integration of my background as an experienced Perinatal Massage Therapist. I don’t just offer "comfort measures"; I bring a high level of clinical touch to your labor. By utilizing targeted massage, counter-pressure, and myofascial release in the heat of the moment, I help you:
Manage pain through neurological distraction and physical relief.
Encourage optimal fetal positioning for a smoother descent.
Keep the nervous system regulated so your hormones can do their essential work.
Navigating the System
Birth is a sacred rite of passage, but it often takes place within a complex medical system. I am here to help you and your partner navigate that system with confidence. My goal is to help you bypass unnecessary interventions whenever possible, creating a "sanctuary" where an undisturbed physiological birth can unfold—even in a clinical setting.
I provide the advocacy and information you need to make empowered choices, acting as a buffer so you can remain in the "labor land" headspace while your partner feels fully equipped to support you.
What’s Included:
Prenatal Alignment: We meet before the birth to discuss your vision and use Pilates-based movement and Arvigo® techniques to prepare your pelvis for labor.
Continuous Labor Support: From the moment you need me until your baby is in your arms, I am there with steady hands and a calm presence.
The Golden Hour: Support during the immediate postpartum transition to facilitate skin-to-skin contact and the first feeding.
